REI KAWAKUBO is the founder of Comme Des Garçons, she found the brand as a response everything going on in the 80s,
by creating this avant garde brand to show people it can be done differently.
Kawakubo sees the orb as something out of this world, she connects it with the universe. But also with her country (- Japan).
The orb can be found as a tiny speck of sand or as a planet floating trough space.
